KATHMANDU, OCT 22 - Dr. Chitra Prasad Sharma Wagle, who is living with appendix cancer , has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Grande Hospital in Dhapasi.
He was admitted on Sunday after he complained of respiratory problems. Dr. Arjun Karki of the hospital said they are treating him for breathing problems. He did not comment further. Dr. Wagle returned to Nepal in August after spending 14 months in the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital in India.
He had said the cancer cells have spread to his liver and there is a risk of them spreading to his chest. The doctor from Rupandehi had been serving as the medical superintendent at Arghakhanchi District Hospital before he left for the New Delhi-based Cancer Hospital for treatment.
He is credited for round-the-clock service, emergency blood management, and facilities related to child delivery and surgery at the district hospital.
