Nepali Congress central member Suprabha Ghimire has quited the party on Wednesday, indicating her dissatisfaction over party's decision to ensure candidacy of influential youth leader Gagan Thapa from Kathmandu constituency-4.
Leader Ghimire, who is among the think tanks in the party organised a press conference in Kathmandu today to make the announcement regarding her resignation from the party. She had won the first Constituent Assembly election in 2064 BS from Kathmandu constituency-4. Leader Ghimire claimed that candidate selection for the second CA election was biased and done on the basis of factional interests.
While saying that she would file her candidacy as an independent candidate at the upcoming CA poll, she did not rule out the chance to form a new party. - See more at: http://ujyaaloonline.com/english-news/25764/Suprabha-Ghimire-quits-Nepali-Congress/#sthash.By3KQY6I.dpuf
